Dear Friends and Sponsors,

Together as a powerful team we raised a total of $307,229 that will be directed in tribute
of Crystal Violante towards The Mary Johnston Professorship in Melanoma Research in
Alberta. 100% of these funds raised will be used towards research to find a cure.

The Face Off Against Cancer 2008 event would like to thank all those who made the
hockey tournament a tremendous success. Memory’s Foundation would like to thank all
our sponsors, NHL Alumni, media, local personalities and volunteers for their generosity
and time. We would also like to thank the Alberta Cancer Foundation for supporting the
event this year with online software and being our beneficiary.

For the second year in row the event has surpassed our fundraising goals. This grass roots
movement of fighting cancer with hockey in true Canadian fashion looks to be the future
model of successful fundraising. We are planning to continue the event for Face Off
Against Cancer 2009 and we are hoping to expand and improve the event.
