Face-Off Against Cancer, a fundraiser for the research of Malignant Melanoma in Alberta through the Alberta Cancer Foundation, brings together Canada's love of hockey and our passion for making a difference. This family-friendly, three-day tournament is being held at the Chestermere Recreational Centre, in Calgary, Alberta from September 12 - 14, 2008.

We have a number of events taking place throughout weekend. Our official opening is on Friday, starting with a puck drop by our Red Carpet Cancer Survivors and Spirit Award Recipient. Saturday a number of our players will shave their heads in support of the fight against Cancer. A Live Auction will be held on Saturday evening with the silent auction. Sunday brings our Division Finals, as well the announcement of our Silent Auction and Tub Draw winners. There are a number of great prizes to be won, so make sure to bid on your favourite.

Every year, the Alberta Cancer Foundation can count on the net proceeds of team fundraising events such as FOAC to lead the way and inspire other community, corporate and school-based event organizers in their efforts to raise funds for cancer research, prevention, screening and compassionate care programs.
